Plot[edit | edit source]
Set in feudal Japan during the civil war. You play Samanosuke Akechi, who dies during an attempt to stop the kidnapping of young princess Yuki, the sister to Yoshitatsu Saito.
However, Akechi is given another chance at life, and is handed a magic gauntlet. With this new power Samanosuke must fight through the monster-filled halls of Inabayama Castle.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
Onimusha: Warlords balances its action elements with puzzles that involve interacting with the environments and obtaining items to make progress.
The player begins the game with a standard katana sword, Samanosuke can gain three elemental weapons: Raizan, Enryuu and Shippuu, each with an elemental magic attack. As enemies are defeated, they release different colored souls that are absorbed by Samanosuke.
