Echo Night 2: "The Ruler of Drowsiness" or "The Lord of Nightmares" (エコーナイト#2 眠りの支配者) is a 1999 first person horror adventure game.
Properly speaking, Echo Night 2 is not a sequel to the first game, but a re-imagining with different locations and situations.
Plot[]
Richard Osmond is still the main protagonist, his girlfriend Christina, went missing. She was last seen in a library where she had worked in. Richard find an old book from the library, which sent him to the Clancy Residence in different space and time to uncover the truth behind Christina's disappearance.
Gameplay[]
Echo Night 2 plays exactly the same as its predecessor. In the Clancy Residence, you search for items and release the lost souls roaming its halls. Some of them give you items that allow you to progress and there are also puzzles you have to solve.
