Daymare: 1998 is a third person survival horror game, developed by Invader Studios and released in 2019.

The game was first conceived as fan-made remake of Resident Evil 2, when the official Resident Evil 2 remake was announced by Capcom, it shifted to its own original IP.

Plot[edit | edit source]

The game begins at a secret research facility, a special security team, "H.A.D.E.S." (Hexacore Advanced Division for Extraction and Search) has been sent to investigate an incident with the potential to become much more than just a security breach. In this first section, you play as a H.A.D.E.S. soldier, in the events that have transformed a once peaceful small town into a deadly zone and its citizens into monsters.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

It is noticeably very similar to games such as Resident Evil 4 (for the gameplay) and Resident Evil 2 (for the tone and setting).

The game is played in an over the shoulder perspective, players progress through 3 storylines involving:

- Liev, a member of H.A.D.E.S.

- Raven, a former NASA pilot.

- Samuel, a ranger in the Redcrest Mountains, who suffers from a medical condition known as "Daymare Syndrome".
